Eleven years ago I was watching channel 13 news before I headed to work, a puppy was shown and I fell in love. Joey, the only female of the litter belonging to Roxie, came into our home at 6 weeks old. She celebrated her 11th birthday in Orlando, FL on the 21st of November. Lucky us! We promised Joey a sister when we moved to Orlando in 2003. January 2004, in a new home, was time to deliver on our promises. We contacted K9NL for a pitiful looking hound. Although they were incredulous that we wanted a dog from VA Bch when we now lived in Florida, proved providential. The details would take too long..but J.D. (formerly "Maisy") was delivered to us in January of 2004. We were told that foster homes wouldn't keep her longer than two weeks… her sister "Daisy," used her as a chew toy and punching bag. J.D. (Joey's Dog) has been with us for almost 8 WONDERFUL years… she is the favorite of the workers of Dog Day Afternoon, her Doggie Daycare facility, and is the "personality hound." Both Joey and J.D. have been graced with a third sister (Trey) whom joined our family last February…a hunter wanted her put to sleep due to a CURABLE infection and the cost incurred. Thank you for loving dogs the way they SHOULD be loved…and thanks for Joey and J.D. … the best things that have ever come from "Surprising Suffolk!!!!"
Gail Agor, mom to Joey, J.D. and Trey…hounds extrordinaire!!!!!
